Legal Manager / Legal Counsel / Contract Manager

Our client is a sizable multinational architecture & design company with attractive benefits is urgently looking for the following positions :

Positions : Legal Manager / Legal Counsel / Contract Manager Salary : Negotiable (Deps on experience) Benefits : 5 days job attractive benefits Requirements :

• Degree holder in LLB / LLM or equivalent
• Qualified lawyer in the Hong Kong SAR
• At least 5 yrs or above in-house legal & compliance experience
• Gained experience in Design Studio, Architect Firm, Construction or Property Developer is highly preferable 
• Strong experience in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a wide range of commercial documents and general legal advisory work
• Experience in PRC legal matters and in listed companies will be an advantage
• Be proficient in both written and spoken English & Mandarin (including Cantonese) 
• Strong communication skills, Detailed-minded, self-motivated, Good team player with interpersonal skills
• Stable, Smart, Energetic & Presentable 
• Immediate Available is an advantage

Responsibilities :  

• To review, comment and amend proposals, contracts, tender documents and non-disclosure agreements
• Oversight of the contract development process, as well as development of specific standards of bidding and submission, contract negotiations and document management
• Close collaboration with various departments including design, senior management project operations and finance 
• Conduct first round review of contracts with an aim to protect the best interest of the studio
• Conduct legal research to resolve any legal issues
• Discuss recommended amendments on the contract with the inhouse team
• Liaise with the Finance team to resolve any accounting / tax issues
• Review and discuss the internal team in regards to client’s feedback on terms of the contract
• Revise the contract with approved amendments
• Work with the project operations team to confirm and finalize all terms and conditions of the contract
• Provide detail notes on clauses in the tender documents which may require special attention 
• Draft various legal documents including contracts, disclaimers and memorandum of understanding 
• Provide knowledge and advice on all legal and compliance matters to senior management 
• Review and provide comments on all contract templates
• Assist to review and identify possible issues and provide solution / strategy for contracts & adhoc legal matters
• Assist in exceptional contracts & legal terms arrangement
• Develop and manage a list of projects legal awareness and comments made/ approved for projects
