Job Description - Research Assistant I / II

Job Description :

Research Assistant I / II (several posts) in the Department of Clinical Oncology, School of Clinical Medicine (Ref.: 526986) (to commence as soon as possible on a 1-year temporary basis, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and funding availability).

Applicants should possess a Bachelor's degree or an equivalent qualification, preferably in Biomedical Science, Statistics or related disciplines. Experience and/or interest in project coordination and clinical research would be preferred. Applicants should have a strong sense of responsibility good organizational, interpersonal and communication skills a good command of written and spoken Chinese and English and the ability to work independently, in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team and with external parties.

The appointees will be deployed to variouscancer centers of Hospital Authority to execute one of the largest clinical genomic projectsinHong Kong. They will assist clinicians to screen and recruit cancerpatients for next-generation sequencing genomic test prospectively follow-up cancerpatients for treatment outcomes handle daily logistics of genomic test ordering data entry, quality check and monitoring and perform any other duties as assigned by the supervisor. Training onthe use of clinical information system will be provided.
