We as MFG-SMT-CoC (SMT Manufacturing Technology Center of Competence) industrialize processes for Assembly and Interconnect Technologies (AIT) for the production of Printed Circuit Boards (PCB) and cooperate closely with development departments and manufacturing plants.
ME/MFG-SMT-CoC2 is a manufacturing plant and R&D department On the one hand, it cooperates with global R&D departments for process development, and on the other hand, it cooperates with global manufacturing plants for process standardization. AE/MFT1 mainly focuses on the above activities in the SMT field of automotive electronics manufacturing.
1. Co-work with global virtual selective soldering team to provide technical service to ME global 13 plants.
2. Support defining selective soldering process roadmap and yearly target.
3. Initiate and coordinate selective soldering process improvement topics and standardization topics with new ideas.
4. On-site or virtually support ME global plants to reduce internal defect cost Third level support on unsolved complex problems from global plants.
5. Define process related standards for global plants on selective soldering process.
6. Support or lead standard machine selection for global plants.
7. Drive the alternative sourcing which is high quality and low cost for tooling and fixtures.
8. Boost and develop automation and digitalization related topics with digital engineer's support.
9. Know-how and lesson learned delivery internally to global plants.
10. Work with suppliers on below dimensions and roll it out to all AE plants
. New function (hardware or software) development.
. Existing function optimization
. Solving machine general problems collected from global plants. < br/> 11. Support process development department on new technology related feasibility study.
12. Organize or support organizing technical activities with selective soldering experts from global plants.
13. Involve on lean related daily work improvements.
1. Form a multinational team of 3-4 people with selective welding process experts from different countries to provide technical services to 13 factories around the world.
2. Participate in formulating the development blueprint and annual goals of this process for 3-5 years.
3. Design, deploy and implement selective welding process improvement projects and standardization projects with innovative concepts.
4. Support 13 factories around the world in improving process defects and solving difficult problems.
5. Develop global process standards for selective welding processes.
6. Develop equipment standards for global factories and support or lead standard equipment evaluation.
7. Evaluate cost-effective tools and fixtures.
8. Incubate automation and digitalization related projects and collaborate with digital engineers for implementation.
9. Share knowledge management and summaries of experiences and lessons learned among factories.
10. Cooperate with suppliers to produce the following solutions and import them into global factories:
. Research and development of new functions (software or hardware)
. Optimization of existing functions
. Factory Tracking and solving of common problems
11. Cooperate with relevant process research and development personnel to evaluate new processes or new technologies.
12. Organize or support technical activities related to global factory experts.
13. Improvements related to daily lean.
- Bachler or master's degree with engineering background or equivalent knowledge.
- 3-5 years or above of working experience on electronic industry and direct experience on selective soldering process (e.g. multi-wave soldering DIP soldering mini-wave soldering).
- Understanding of MES and Manufacturing IT structure
- Be familiar with the design of tooling and fixture.
- Good English skill to communicate with contacts from different countries - Certain level of moderation skill to guarantee output of workshop and meeting
- Strong intercultural communication and presentation skills. With experience on leading intercultural team will be a plus. - Basic Project handling skill - High willingness to change and learn new things like digital transformation
1 . Bachelor degree or above, engineering background is preferred.
2. 3-5 years or more related work experience in the electronics industry (SMT+FA) and related experience in selective soldering equipment process maintenance (multi-wave soldering, dip soldering, mini-wave soldering)
3. Understand MES and its architecture.
4. Be familiar with the design and manufacturing evaluation of tool fixtures related to selective welding.
5. Fluent in spoken and written English. Excellent. (Required)
6. Ability to organize workshops or large meetings.
7. Strong communication and presentation skills. If you have experience in cross-cultural communication, it will be an advantage. Experience in leading cross-cultural organizations is an advantage.
8. Have strong project management capabilities. If you have lean-related experience, it will be an advantage.
9. Experience in leading or participating in automation or digitalization-related projects. Applicants with digital-related knowledge (such as Python) will be a plus.
