Sr Merchandiser/Merchandising Manager

Responsibilities:  

• Dynamic sourcing of new products and suppliers to grow category business
• Drive new product development from creative idea exploration, conceptual study, production introduction, market commercialization, product life extension plans
• Collaborate with BU teamwork globally to handle sized project development
• Coordinate multi-disciplinary production activities to resolve all products, costing, order scheduling and quality performance issues between factories, vendor and the oversea buyer
• Develop strong and extensive supplier base for production excellence.
• Gather market intelligence, identify new opportunities to develop supplier-product strategy through competitive benchmark
• Initiate and drive cost improvement programs to supply the best-in-class products at the right and lowest cost. 
• Negotiate for the best business terms with partners

 

Required Qualifications:  

• Bachelor Diploma in Supply Chain Procurement Management / Sales & Marketing / Mechanical / Manufacturing / Electronic Engineering or related discipline
• Minimum of 5 years work experience in the consumer product industry is preferable. Candidate holding longer experience will be considered for the Manager position
• Fully conversant using Windows, MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint), SAP application 
• Energetic, proactive, hardworking, well-organized and with strong inter-personal and communication skills
• Active team player, stress-proof, positive thinking
• Effective timeline controller 
• Frequent travel to factories, trade shows and business events 
• Fluent in written and spoken English, Mandarin and Cantonese. Knowledge of other foreign languages will be an advantage
