- Maintain and update relevant policies and procedures to ensure that they properly reflect applicable legal and regulatory requirements, best practices and Bank standards
- Handle GM clients’ KYC/AML requests and on-boarding process to cope with business needs
- Review and advise on new business initiatives and products from a regulatory, best practice and Bank standard perspective
- Assist in projects related to regulatory changes and business development
- Identify any fraud or trading misbehavior in the business, promote risk awareness culture and assure high standard of conduct in the department
- Review and/or seek legal opinions with solicitors on products term sheets, Derivatives Agreements (e.g. ISDA/CSA/GMRA), business service contracts whenever needed
- Address local & China’s regulators’ enquiry and provide support to business and other functions during the inspection
- Provide compliance advisory service/training to the department and other functions in respective regulatory matters
- Relationships management with local & Head Office compliance, external & internal auditors and stakeholders to facilitate cooperation and business operations whenever necessary
- Handle any other compliance matters and ad-hoc tasks as required for the operation of the Global Markets business
- Bachelor's degree or international equivalent in Finance, Risk Management, Accounting or related field, or equivalent qualifications at HKQF level 5
- 5 years or above experience in banking or financial industry with minimum 3 years’ working experience in treasury, compliance or risk management
- Great team player with positive attitude
- Problem solving ability and ability to work with FO and BO stakeholders
- Able to perform effectively within a time-sensitive environment and meet reporting and project deadlines
- Self-starter with drive and ambition to succeed in a dynamic business environment
- Knowledge on trading platforms and Treasury system e.g. SUMMIT, Bloomberg an advantage
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal in English and Mandarin /Cantonese
