Senior Business Analyst - Global Markets - Financial Institution


Aleading Financial Institution is looking to bring in a talented Senior Business Analyst for the team in Hong Kong.
This role involves partnering with the Operations team, responsible for managing risks within Operations. The Senior Business Analyst will be responsible for documenting a new target operating model that includes significant changes to current services while enhancing risk and control management oversight. Key responsibilities of this role include:
- Analysing the current and target operating models (TOM) and service level agreements (SLAs).
- Gathering and analysing requirements to develop solutions that meet business needs.
- Documenting control ownership, governance/oversight, and escalation models.
- Collaborating with project managers, NFR leads, senior management, and stakeholders.
- Coordinating with third-party vendors and IT teams for system changes and implementation.
- Defining a transition plan to the target operating model and supporting testing and business readiness activities. Requirements:
- Proven track record of defining and implementing a target operating model (TOM) in a large organisation.
- Experienced in establishing a control and governance framework to support the TOM.
- Knowledgeable in derivatives post-trade processes and familiar with associated risks.
- Skilled in process documentation and mapping within the Global Markets domain.
- Analytical mindset with strong judgement and decision-making abilities to identify process exceptions.
- Capable of scrutinising procedures and driving for high-quality service delivery.
- Must possess expertise in derivatives post-trade processing, particularly in confirmations and settlements.
- Organised, adaptable, and self-driven to gather information from subject matter experts.
- Excellent relationship-building skills with effective communication and negotiation abilities.
- Able to work efficiently under tight deadlines and meet high standards.
- Previous experience collaborating with third-party vendors.
