Senior Sourcing Engineer

TheSr. Sourcing Engineer is responsible for developing and executing optimal commodity & sourcing strategies. Establish & enhance Supplier relationships to drive sourcing & supplier initiatives to meet or exceed product quality, service & deliver sustainable cost reductions, whilst reducing or mitigating risk in the Supply Chain.

Responsibilities:

1, Responsible for driving the execution of sourcing initiatives and strategies with respective team such as R&D engineering, manufacturing, product management and functional owners and in line with global and local sourcing Strategy, commodity strategies, processes and KPIs.

2. Responsible for the execution of competitive bid, negotiation, contracting processes and/or technical continuous improvement for assigned commodities or services.

3, Establish early, new supplier involvement to achieve development performance goals, support project timelines, and manage product cost.

4, Leads R&D communications related to the commodity and facilitates the identification and evaluation of new materials or technologies to cover current and potential future BEC requirements.

5, Develops Should-Cost Models for major sub-commodities.
6, Interacts with site material/planning teams.
7, Develop strong relationships with key suppliers as well as other disciplines within the businesses.

8. be responsible to search and analyze the performance and trend for the assigned commodity industries and develop the commodity sourcing strategy accordingly

Education/Experience:
1. Bachelor's degree or higher in Supply Chain or Engineering. Specific Key-tech products and/or engineered products experience. (Key-tech means Optical and Fluidic commodities)

2, At least 10 years of work experience in purchasing/sourcing or supply chain. Advanced project management and/or cross functional team leadership experience.

3, Excellent business acumen, as well as strong financial and negotiating skills are required along with knowledge of quality systems, lean manufacturing processes and project management knowledge

4, Experience with strategic sourcing and procurement, Medical Device experience is preferred

5, Experience with Microsoft Excel to create and manipulate spreadsheets and analyze data.

6, Experience with manufacturing cost systems.

7, Fluent both Oral and written in Mandarin and English.

8, A positive, can-do attitude, and must be self-motivated
