We are looking for an immediate, full-time, permanent position in APAC at Beijing or Shanghai, China.

Job Purpose:

• Implement best local / sub-regional category specific strategies. Work closely with local procurement teams to ensure identify and recommend 'best in class' suppliers and maintain good. Prepare and lead supplier negotiations at local level.

Your tasks:

• Provide professional sourcing support for key business initiatives, supply market research / intelligence to support business decisions in investments and budgets and establishment of local or sub-regional frame contracts. Identification of strategic sourcing opportunities and development and management of strategic suppliers is a key
• Integrate Procurement services at sub-regional / country level for the business colleagues (divisions) are in scope. Achieving greatest value contribution, benefit realization and efficiency from all procurement activities and ensuring fulfillment of joint goals with internal business partner by meeting their demands in terms of quality, price and service
• Specialize in strategic sourcing of goods and services and transportation capacities in order to reduce costs and ensure quality and supply as needed by the business / function in scope
• Support business with detecting the right suppliers for driving forward innovation particularly in the category of Material Handling Equipment and Warehousing Equipment
• Support with supplier risk assessment and evaluating suppliers based on sustainability KPIs
• Manage larger complexity of contracts and new contract types (e.g. with startups)
• Deep understanding of the regional business as well as market and trends of the specific categories
• Achieving greatest value contribution, benefit realization and efficiency from all procurement activities and ensuring fulfillment of joint goals with internal business partner by meeting their demands in terms of quality, price and service
• Specialize in strategic sourcing and market/trends of operating equipment/systems and maintenance services in order to reduce costs and ensure quality and security/stability of supply as needed by the business.
• Develop/upkeep component unit cost databases with the use of advanced big data tools if necessary, to establish cost transparency and understand market developments
• Create product cost models by following the component hierarchy and the supply chain to responsibly create a full cost build-up of the landed product to support budgeting exercises and tender negotiations
• Perform product tear-downs, conduct independent supply cost estimates/analysis, verify assumptions, plus generate/ discuss value engineering ideas with the business/suppliers to optimize cost
• Develop lasting and win-win partnerships both with established suppliers and startups
• Working closely with the global Mail & Parcel Systems and Warehouse Solutions Community.
• Leverage on key tools and concepts like game theory, cost engineering and working with agile procurement team to drive more values on projects.

Your profile:

Education Level

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience/qualification
• Fluent in both written and spoken English

Experience Level

• More than 5 years on sourcing warehouse equipment including but not limited to AGV, AMR, warehousing automation system, parcel sorting and conveying system, racking, forklift, etc.
• Track record on conducting sizable tenders for multi-national company in various APAC countries will be a plus
