And when we haven’t, we act fast to fix the problem.Sales Engineer, Hong Kong Juniper Networks (Hong Kong) has an immediate opening for a collaborative, highly effective, and motivated individual to support Enterprise customers in Hong Kong/Macau region. This position will be on the local Sales Engineering team supporting pre-sales activities in Routing/Switching infrastructure, Security, SDN, NFV, and Virtualization. Sales Engineers are a critical component of the Juniper sales team and have the main responsibility to assist Juniper Account Managers with technical sales activities in new and existing opportunities. Sales Engineers have in-depth, hands-on experience with Juniper's products and services as well as knowledge of competitor's products and can demonstrate confirmed internetworking, virtualization, and security skills to customers and business partners. Sales Engineers assist with understanding customers' requirements, the design of Juniper solutions, delivering sales presentations, presenting technical information about products and services, conducting product reviews, installing product evaluations, presenting/training at seminars, and assisting with RFP and RFI responses.Minimum Qualifications:5+ years of industry experience in multiple technical disciplines; a consistent record in technical sales to large enterprise, DC, and ISP customers along with: Large scale enterprise routing and switching, Data Center Networking, Cloud networking Experienced level and hands-on knowledge of TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, MPLS technologies (RSVP, LDP, L3VPN, L2VPN, and Segment Routing) Guide across SDN environments including Overlay protocols and technologies such as VXLAN, EVPN, and other tunneling technologies Virtualization, storage, x86 compute, orchestration, and other non-networking data center technologies Experience working in a pre-sales role selling networking equipment and solid experience in design/architecture/vendor selection Ability to communicate, both oral and written, on complex technical and sales issues to a variety of audiences, including executive-level technical decision-makers Driven ability to articulate and communicate meaningful connections between proposed technical solutions and customers' business requirements Solid grasp and knowledge of how to build successful relationships between an equipment manufacturer and a channel partner or reseller In-depth understanding of product features, use cases, positioning, and configuration in many of the following products or product categories: Juniper EX or QFX switches, Cisco Nexus switches, Arista switches or Chinese brand switches. Open Networking switch hardware (white box) and related software (Cumulus, BigSwitch, Pica8) OpenStack (RedHat, Mirantis, or Ubuntu) or VMware vSphere Linux operating system knowledge including KVM, NFV concepts Containers and container-related technologies, such as Docker and Kubernetes SDN overlay technologies including Contrail Networking, Nuage, or NSX Knowledge of merchant silicon technologies (Trident, Tomahawk, Jericho, etc.) JNCIE, CCIE, RHCE, or other expert-level industry certification is desired.
