We are seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as Business Lead – Unsecured Products Design and Delivery. This role reports to the Global Head of Unsecured Products and is an integral part of HSBC’s Retail proposition. The role holder will lead global Unsecured Product Design and Delivery, and related activities for our unsecured lending business, working with all our markets globally. It is a leadership role that is accountable for journey design and delivery across all channels, leading the execution of strategic cards and personal loans initiatives such as product refresh and new card launches. Our unsecured business currently has customers globally, acquiring, or cross selling to customers a year, with significant growth aspirations. This role is responsible for: Defining the Unsecured Product Sub Value Stream (SVS) strategic investment plan, and execution roadmaps Design and delivery of the strategy. Owning the roadmap, managing changes as they arise and keeping stakeholders focused on the agreed change outcome and benefits Develop clear strategic priorities that ensures resources (capability, people & funding) are enabled to deliver new features, improve quality of delivery, and improve customer experience Alignment of the Unsecured Product roadmap and strategy within the Unsecured Lending Value Stream (VS) and Unsecured Products SVS OKRs Ensuring key customer metrics are achieved Principal Responsibilities: Develop our Unsecured Product delivery strategy, with accountability for coordination across all workstreams (Design, Tech, Data & Governance, Customer, Transformation etc.) Embed multi market scale delivery capabilities to support rapid delivery Deliver core journey capabilities at scale to ensure existing customers are active and engaged Acting as an escalation point for risks and issues at SVS level. Manage risks and dependencies, and optimises flow of work through delivery teams Manage PI planning at SVS level, aligning prioritized features Improve customer experience across all our existing customer journeys Track and manage the relevant performance indicators vs core benchmarks Lead and inspire a team of Product Managers, taking accountability to coach and upskill Influence at Group level, the investment, infrastructure, resources, systems, and tools required to develop Group wide capabilities Requirements Requirements -the ideal candidate for this role will have: Ability to lead and execute new cards and propositions launches at scale Prior experience in defining and implementing a multi-channel product strategy, across multiple markets at pace Strong experience in design and delivering solutions and core servicing and journey capabilities to meet customer needs Ensure the agenda is delivered on time and in budget. Be hands-on and remove delivery blockers through appropriate action and escalation as required Ability to make strategic recommendations relating to Unsecured Product delivery strategy based on jNPs, customer research and customer outcomes metrics Product management experience in driving product change/transformation initiatives Experience in Cards and Loans product delivery (strategy development, delivery framework and proposition) across savings, liabilities, current accounts and cards, ideally within a leading retail bank will be highly regarded Strong analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to drive compelling narratives / storylines, and business cases – driving clear consensus on product value propositions that are synthesized from a variety of inputs and viewpoints Focused and driven to deliver results in a fast-paced whilst working in a complex matrix driven environment Experience of operating with multi-geography teams in Retail Banking Able to navigate conflicting strategic priorities and decisions Able to influence influencing cross-functional teams and stakeholders, engage and lead in a positive, inspiring manner
