Team / division overview Xtrackers by DWS is a large and established provider of high-quality passive solutions across wrappers. Providing efficient 'passive' exposure to diversified indices or to singlemodities, Xtrackers ETFs and ETCs provide aprehensive set of dependable investment tools for effective portfolio allocation. Xtrackers Mandates offer bespoke passive solutions for primarily institutional clients. Xtrackers Mandates Sales drive the distribution of Xtrackers Passive Mandates in close partnership with local sales colleagues in Europe, Asia Pacific, and the US, and form the link to Xtrackers Portfolio Management, Xtrackers Product and other internal teams involved in the successful delivery of Xtrackers Mandates and solutions to our clients. The Xtrackers Mandates Sales team operates internationally, is highly solutions-oriented and caters to predominantly institutional clients (public and corporate pension funds, insurancepanies, central banks and sovereign wealth funds, but also family offices and wealth managers). The team engages with prospective clients early in the process to identify their needs, indicate potential solutions and illustrate our capabilities. We help design passive exposures, support the selection of appropriate benchmarks to precisely reflect the client's strategy, develop alternative index concepts or customised, dedicated portfolio solutions. In doing so, the team draws on both the large selection of existing indices as well as individual solutions jointly developed between client, the Xtrackers index strategy team, portfolio management, and, as required, external index providers. DWS hasmitted significant resources to growing the Xtrackers business overall, and specifically Xtrackers Mandates. In this very fast-growing business area, we require a high degree of client-orientation and professional know-how, which is why we intend to further strengthen the team with a dedicated APAC headcount in Hong Kong, part of our Frankfurt-based Mandates Sales team but embedded in our Hong Hong-based Xtrackers Sales APAC team. The position to be filled involves a high degree of direct interaction with professional clients, also in the context of client meetings, presentations and roadshows, in close collaboration with Xtrackers Sales and Generalist sales colleagues in the regions. Xtrackers Mandates Sales is also responsible for the preparation of individual client pitches and presentations, general product presentations and content support in the preparation of RfPs (Request for Proposals), and other client requests. The Hong Kong-based Xtrackers Mandates Sales specialist will act as specialist contact for APAC on the subject of passive mandates and will share responsibility in planning and implementation of the Mandates-specific sales strategy to achieve our sales targets in the region. They will have a functional reporting line to the Head of Xtrackers Mandates Sales based in Germany as well as a local reporting line into the Head of Xtrackers Sales APAC. A high degree of technical know-how regarding portfolio implementation, benchmarks, ESG-oriented investments, alternative strategies (including smart beta) and systematic/ quantitative strategies, as well as a high degree of service orientation are essential. Your responsibilities As our Coverage Specialist - Xtrackers Sales, you will: Sales activities in cooperation with Xtrackers Sales and Generalist sales colleagues in the APAC region, including presentation of Xtrackers Mandates at client meetings and workshops with institutional clients, and events on an international level APAC-wide and international area of operation Support in developing customised solutions for passive mandates together with DWS specialists across teams and divisions Individual response to and preparation of client enquiries for coverage teams predominantly in APAC, but also internationally Individual preparation of client RfPs and other requests Contact person for bencher benchmarks and individual solutions for institutional clients (incl. ESG, smart beta, systematic index strategies) Preparation of sales and marketing documents: presentations, case studies, etc. Support with Xtrackers Mandates flow data and review of sales pipeline Involvement in idea generation for Xtrackers Mandate USPs, product themes, positioning andmunication Expertise on passive portfolio management for equities, fixed ie and multi-asset mandates Coordination of client due diligence meetings Detailed index research & preparation of index and solutions overviews on defined topics (incl. knowledge of the most important index providers incl. specialisation) Support in setting up new mandates We are looking for Initial experience with institutional clients in APAC Strong understanding of how equity and fixed ie investments work Strong understanding of sustainable investments, sustainability trends and risks in investments and their regulatory context Good understanding of capital markets & macroeconomic correlations Quickprehension and analytical thinking skills Very good language skills (written and spoken) in English and Mandarin Creativity and good team skills High degree of initiative and independence; assertiveness Excellent knowledge of MS Office applications (Excel, Access, PowerPoint and Word) Programming skills (Python, VBA) advantageous What we'll offer you: At DWS we're serious about diversity, equity and creating an inclusive culture where colleagues can be themselves and it's important to us that you enjoying to work - feeling healthy, happy and rewarded.
