Description Provide technical leadership of the departmentSet strategic direction, vision, and roadmap for the IT solution deliveryUp to date on market trends to explore how emerging delivery model can benefit the company, and decide the most suitable application of these model to generate business valuesThis role will lead, coach, and support the team, including business and IT, to adopt to the agile way of working having business and IT in a two-in-a-box model for defining business feature backlog and implement them following the MVP and Sprint approach.Strong stakeholder management and change management to lead and drive the change in delivery model Handle multiple tasks and priorities effectively to ensure changing business needs and regulations/guidelines are fulfilled according to required timelineCreates clear vision and direction with challenging objectives for the teamEstablishes, manages and coaches team to achieve challenging objectives and performance expectationsAttracts, motivates, develops and retains high potential talentsEstablish clear, measurable KPIs to monitor and improve team efficiency and effectivenessLeads and enables out of the box thinking in the teamCreates an environment that values cooperation, open communication, and teamwork with agile and fail fast cultureServes as a role model by demonstrating a commitment to company values, high performance standards, workplace diversity, and driving resultsThinks “out of the box” and develops creative solutions to complex technical and process problemsReview existing work processes and identify new ways of working and/or improvements to have continuous efficiency improvementsContinuously evaluate and identify the most suitable delivery model to run IT Solution Delivery, with reference to the market trend and competitors in insurance industryExplore the next generation solution delivery including low code development, infrastructure as code, and security as codeJob RequirementStrong experience (15 years +) managing large scale IT Solution Delivery operations, preferably in finance and insurance industries under a global company.Successful track record building out a matrix organization, including managing budgets and creating Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) used to manage the team and the stakeholdersStrong ability to drive Solution Delivery transformation for both IT and business. Have hands on experience in successfully transform traditional waterfall delivery team to agile delivery modelSolid business acumen (business case development, benchmarking, competitive analysis, capabilities, and process mapping) and an ability to team with diverse groups.Strong exposure to dynamics of banking and insurance industry, or consumer oriented businesses.Able to work in a fast-paced environment and able to manage multiple delivery model for different projects according to suitability and maturity of the project teams on agile methodologyExperience in leading Solution Team consist of in-house staff, contractors, secondments, vendors, and off-shore in-house delivery centerUndergraduate degree in information technology or engineering from a recognized top tier international university. Fluency in English and Chinese*Candidate with less experience will be considered as Associate Director / DirectorWe offer 5-day work, attractive salary, MPF, group life and group medical insurance; and excellent career development opportunities to the right candidate.We are an equal opportunity employer and welcome applications from all qualified candidates.
