What you will do:
As the Housekeeping Manager, your role will be more operational in nature, focusing on the day-to-day management and supervision of the housekeeping department. Your main responsibilities include:
Leading and supervising the housekeeping team, including room attendants, housekeeping supervisors, and other staff members. Setting performance expectations, providing guidance and support, and fostering a positive work environment.
Overseeing the daily cleaning operations, ensuring that guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house areas are cleaned and maintained to meet luxury standards. Monitoring cleanliness levels and taking prompt action to address any deficiencies.
Conducting daily inspections of guest rooms, suites, and public areas to ensure they are properly cleaned, well-maintained, and stocked with amenities. Implementing corrective actions for any identified issues and ensuring adherence to established standards.
Providing ongoing training to housekeeping staff on cleaning standards, luxury service delivery, attention to detail, and guest expectations. Conducting regular training sessions and performance evaluations to enhance the skills and performance of the team.
Managing the inventory of amenities and cleaning supplies. Ensuring proper stock levels are maintained, coordinating with suppliers for timely deliveries, and monitoring usage to minimize waste and control costs.
Collaborating with the front desk, engineering and other departments to ensure guest requests and preferences are met in a timely and satisfactory manner. Handling guest feedback and complaints related to housekeeping, resolving issues promptly, and ensuring our guests satisfaction.
Enforcing safety regulations and compliance with health and sanitation standards to maintain a clean and safe environment for guests and staff.
Handling administrative tasks such as scheduling, ordering, and performance tracking.
Providing operational support to the Assistant Director of Housekeeping and collaborating with other departments to ensure smooth coordination and efficient workflow
What you bring:
A minimum of three to five years’ experience in a managerial role in luxury five-star hotel.
Excellent verbal communication skills in Cantonese and English.
Strong organization and leadership skills.
Excellent problem-solving, communication and interpersonal skills
