Brown Brothers Harriman is currently recruiting HR Business Partner (HRBP) to join our Hong Kong HR Team. In this role you will serve as a point of contact for the Line of Business Leadership. You will be expected to answer questions, advise management on policies and procedures and make recommendations to solve HR related matters. You will collaborate with the HR Centers of Knowledge to coordinate all facets of HR which includes including Compensation, Employee Relations, Talent Acquisition, Talent and Development, Diversity and HR Operations & Reporting to help the business achieve its goals.Some of your key responsibilities include: Support execution and implementation of HR strategies, which support the Line of Business goalsSupport the HRBP team in advising local managers on HR programs, processes, and initiatives such as Performance Management, Headcount, Talent Acquisition, promotions etc.Serve as a point of contact on HR questions and issues raised by local managersConsult with appropriate HR teams on various business issues ranging from salary recommendations, staffing, and training, employee relations and general inquiriesAct as first level support on local Recruiting-related issues and as needed, provide support for intern programs, employee brandingSupport the HRBP team in the effective implementation of the performance management program, annual compensation cycle, promotion program to ensure decisions support the talent strategiesSupport the business in the identification of key talent through effective deployment of our talent identification processes and ensures proactive ‘develop, deploy, retain’ interventions are plannedAs appropriate, act as the first level support for Employee Relations issues such as disciplinary actions, grievances, long term sicknesses; partner with ER team to stay appraised of any issues and escalate as needed; collaborate with the ER team to identify potential issues identified during the exit process; conduct exit interviews as neededCoordinate various information/data requests and works with HR Reporting to develop human resources solutions as well as recommending courses of actions; and ensure reports are created and maintained in compliance with established proceduresSupport the promotion programs locally with the business by advising on process and application, and responsible for tracking and reportingProvide local advice and guidance on HR policies and proceduresAct as a back-up to the HR Payroll/ Operations AnalystQualifications:Solid background in an HRBP (+10 years)Solid operation (hands-on) experienceExperience and understanding of the financial industry will be a plusVery good knowledge of the local labor law and the ability to apply it in practiceStrong English/Cantonese language skills, Mandarin language skills is a huge plusStrong relationship management and interpersonal skillsEffective negotiation and influencing skillsSelf-Starter, with the ability to work independentlyExperience developing, building and maintaining strong business partnershipsAbility to prioritize and meet deadlines in a dynamic environmentAbility to effectively interact with all levels of the organizationEffective leadership, communication, organizational and change management skills
