Job Description

Position: Quantity Surveyor / Assistant Quantity Surveyor

Business Line: Program, Cost, Consultancy

Project sub-teams:

• Public / Private building
• Civil Infrastructure & Metro Railway
• MEP works

Responsibilities:

• Assist Project / Senior QS on pre-contract and post-contract quantity surveying duties including preparation of cost estimates, procurement and tendering, tender evaluation, cashflow forecast, contract administration, variation, final account, etc.
• Preparing taking off from drawings and pricing for cost estimates, tender documents, etc.
• Collaborate and develop good working relationship with QS team members and external stakeholders.
• Attend meetings and site inspections when required.
• Comply with the Company’s QA requirements and best practice.

 

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor degree holder in Quantity Surveying discipline or equivalent (possession of non-Degree/Degree in other discipline with relevant or related postgraduate qualification in Quantity Surveying may also be considered)
• For Quantity Surveyor, at least 3 years relevant quantity surveying experience, preferably in consultant firm experience; For Assistant Quantity Surveyor, less than 3 years relevant Quantity Surveying experience, preferably in consultant firm experience
• Practical experience in working on any of the below works - civil infrastructure projects, metro railway projects, public sector building projects, private building development, and/or MEP works, is advantageous
• Good learner and interpersonal skills, enthusiastic and ambitious to achieve success working in collaborative team environment
• Fluent in both written and spoken English and Cantonese
• Candidate with less experience will be considered as Assistant Quantity Surveyor

Preferred qualifications:

• For civil infrastructure & metro railway / public sector works, candidate shall have the interest and willingness to participate in NEC3/HK ECC Forms of Contract. We can provide you with great opportunities to engage in HK public sector projects adopting this procurement method.
• For building/ MEP works, candidate shall have the interest and willingness to participate in working with Housing Authority or Architectural Services Department projects
• MEP Engineering professionals with MEP cost management experience will also be considered
