Build high quality sales plan and lead business planning process

  • Lead Key Account Managers on annual budget planning and monthly rolling forecast to redefine sales assumptions and strategies
  • Build up the NPD roll-out planning such as number of stores, allocation of products, conversion plan, etc. by leading retail marketing and key account managers
  • Lead evolving data and reporting foundation to provide measurement and insight for better decision making
  • Cooperate with supply chain team to make sure supply sufficiency in line with volumes forecast
  • Develop a full annual promotion plan (by month, channels and SKUs, etc) with retail marketing with key accounts managers.
  • Develop promotion analysis framework as required for tracking purposes plus ROI tracking on promotion investment
  • Align pricing promotion with finance and marketing and measure efficiency of pricing promotion
  • Provide valuable and various sales analysis for management team and sales team
  • Drive operations excellence

  • Create, define and refine operational processes for the various Direct touch points; in partnership with key stakeholders roll out the SOP to ensure that operations and long-term developments are seamlessly integrated and shared across all functions
  • Be accountable for any ad-hoc system and operational issues across Direct channels; able to lead and identify the right stakeholders to resolve the issues and minimize impact to owners
  • Lead the order fulfilment process to 3rd Party Retailers and Corp. Sales/ Gifting channels customers including (but not limited to) order processing, stock replenishment, sales order tracking, stock reporting and any related financial and logistic arrangement arises
  • Perfect In-store Execution

  • As key conduit between Group Retail, COE and Local markets on all things retail and events.
  • Lead implementations of all locally relevant global retail programs to deliver premium in-store brand experience and drive conversion.
  • Undertake regular store visits to understand the in-store environment and competitor activity, observe shoppers and connect with Retail staff for key learning and to ensure effective execution of stands and fixtures in store.
  • Attend key distributor, retailer, and landlord meetings to present and influence the direct and 3rd party controlled in store space strategy.
  • Undertake research to understand how shoppers research the category, the triggers, and barriers for purchase and translate into impactful business actions.
  • Lead in-store audits to monitor distributors/retailers’ executions, ultimately to maintain the perfect in-store quality post launch for constant improvement.
  • Stay abreast on news on emerging technologies in merchandising. Identify trends that will lead to understanding consumer needs, how consumers shop, and ultimately buy (SEE, THINK, DO, CARE Funnel).
  • Communicate and roll out the most effective activities as best practice to Group (UK), COE (SG) and Greater China region (SH).
  • NPD Retail Launch Strategy

  • Own Delivery and communication of in-store NPD brand strategy and plans with close partnering with Business Development/Sales teams and Brand Managers. Gain buy-in for implementation.
  • Maximize new product launch impact within category in-store and create theatrical demo experience to inspire and convert consumers.
  • Lead the development and implementation of fixtures, merchandising and evaluation of retailer specific initiatives.
  • Liaise with Brand Managers to ensure that all communication initiatives are ‘on brand’ and consistent across the marketing mix.
  • Ensure the shopper experience for Dyson products surpasses the competitions and exceed brand promise.
  • Channel Development Strategy and Execution

  • Own and build on relationship with 3 Party Retailers and Landlords to implement retail strategy for 3 Party Retail and Direct Retail presence and experience.
  • Partner with Business Development/Sales team to co-author channel strategy and identify key building blocks and annual KPIs for conversion.
  • Develop a 12-month activity calendar covering NPDs, channel expansion, promotions, fixture upgrades, merchandising roll out and tailored activities to drive business.
  • Attend distributor/retailer meetings to ensure that accountability for instore activities is clear and that all activities are delivered within budget and on time.
  • Own all retail marketing information communications to business development / sales / distributors / landlord and retailer’s teams.
  • Own and drive quantification of channel/in-store activities.
  • Adopt a test/learn/refine approach to trialling new activities to further the business – agreeing success criteria upfront.
  • Work closely with financial analyst to conduct appraisals of instore activities across all channels.
  • Events Designs and Rollout

  • Develop the annual strategy and calendar plans for local events.
  • Oversee management of events budget to delivery of high-quality events.
  • Oversee team delivery of key Dyson events across consumer events, exhibitions/trade shows, retail events, roadshows and corporate partnership events.
  • Ensure team works effectively with the global team to obtain key assets and approvals (where relevant).
  • With all events – ensure the look and feel is on brand and consistent.
  • Ensure team delivery of the event calendar and budget.
