Vice President Events Marketing Strategist Asia Pacific Hong Kong As a Barclays Vice President (VP) Events Marketing Strategist Asia Pacific, you will operate as our sole strategic advisor to influence the businesses on behalf of Events & Hospitality by providing account management services to our stakeholders via detailed analytical ‘reporting’ that shows quarterly and annual trends, spend and the success of agreed business objectives. Based in our Hong Kong office, you will be the go-to contact for internal business partners as you build event plans and programmes in support of our commercial priorities. What will you be doing? Overseeing the Barclays Asia Pacific event portfolio for Markets, Investment Banking, Research, Private Bank, and Regional Country Management Managing key stakeholders which includes Regional CEO, Country CEOs/COOs, Regional Business Heads and Regional Business COOs Being responsible for the vision, creation, and ownership of Business area annual event plans using innovative solutions to support their long-term objectives and growth Recommending and influencing event activity selection via post event in-depth analysis and reporting Identifying new business opportunities through new event opportunities, new clients, cross-business collaboration, networking and attending industry events Developing relationships with stakeholders and solid partnerships with AEs on defined purpose, commercial objectives, and updates on trends and technologies Ensuring successful events from a financial and reputational standpoint by aligning event goals with business objectives What we’re looking for: Deep experience operating in multiple markets in Asia in Event Management including budgeting, stakeholder and logistics management alongside industry knowledge Solid project management skills, experience managing complex projects with excellent communication skills to be impactful and influence stakeholders Experience using CRM systems, designing marketing project KPIs and running post project ROI analysis Cross-marketing experience including digital marketing, social media, brand, internal/external communications Skills that will help you in the role: Confident, proactive, responsive, enthusiastic and capable of building effective partnerships and networks Demonstrates a solid awareness of reputational risk management and escalates appropriately Strategic thinker who contributes towards business strategy, team development and morale within the department Understanding on how to leverage events as platforms, across all marketing & communication channels, to earn wider brand consideration Where will you be working? Our offices are situated in the center of Hong Kong’s financial district, at 2 Queen’s Road. Cheung Kong Centre is an investment banking hub that offers panoramic views of Victoria Harbour and Kowloon Peninsula.
