Warehouse Operator - Urgent Hiring

Key Purpose of Role:

To provide co-ordination and administration for Landis+Gyr in the delivery and manage the storage of our products in Hong Kong and logistic work with our customers, suppliers and internal teams to achieve this.

Areas of Responsibility:

Logistics and storage management

• To manage the warehouse (storage) to store and work with customer’s contractor or logistic company to deliver our products

       o Maintain the product delivery plan and inventory records

       o Handling (loading and uploading, operate the stacker) the product and material storage and move in/out in the warehouse

       o Liase and coordinate customer’s contractor or logistic company for the product/materials delivery arrangement

       o Maintain the warehouse in the required standard condition and storage setup

       o On-site maintain the warehouse environment to meet the required standard/requirement

       o Support the audit and inspection for the stored products and materials

       o Operate inventory and record system

• To generally ensure that all aspects of the logistics process are taken care of

• Dealing directly with both inbound and outbound international fright forwarders

• Dealing with local freight handlers

• Preparing all necessary documentation for import and export

• Managing import and export customs declarations

• Managing customs clearance by working directly with clearing agents or local customs officers

• Keeping the local team as well as key customer contacts aware of the shipping status

• Working with key customer contacts to ensure booking for deliveries

• Ensure local stock take is done as per the necessary guidelines and schedules

Order processing and material delivery

• To ensure that once a order is received from a customer and delivered from the sales team that the appropriate internal paperwork is completed this should cover but is not limited to o Creation of Purchase Orders o Good Receipt o Issuance of Delivery Notes o Invoicing

• Co-ordinate RMA, collection of defective items, packing, co-ordinate documentation from relevant L+G office and Customers

• Maintain communication with key Tier-1 Suppliers or internal supplier/parties and ensure all relevant documentation is in order

• Support payments collection/ Letter of Credit Documentation for timely payments

• Use of order processing system (e.g. SAP)

Physical work involves:

• Daily Handling of used electrical (mechanical or digital) meters collected from customer contractor (90% of time spending)
  • Stock count of incoming meters
  • Use of tailor-design mobile APP to scan and capture meter information – meter number and meter value
  • Packing and properly placement of old meters into plastic boxes with sealing, recorded with APP again.
  • Use of lift fork or stacker to arrange the pallets location inside the warehouse

Experience

•At least 3 years of relevant experience in a similar role.

• Strong experience in logistic, forwarder and product delivery.

• Working experience in warehouse/store and inventory management, handling import and export declarations.

• Material moving/disposal and operating pallet jack.

• Certificate in logistic operation, logistic company/forwarder, operating record and ordering process system is a plus.

Qualifications and Additional Requirements:

Proficient in spoken and written Cantonese. Mandarin & English also beneficial
