AI & Data - Engineer (Senior Manager - Senior Consultant)

Role Overview:

The purpose of this role is to deliver innovative AI and data solutions within a consultative framework for financial services clients. The Senior Manager or Senior Consultant will lead the end-to-end solution delivery, from data acquisition to model deployment, ensuring compliance with regional regulations and governance standards, while effectively communicating technical insights to stakeholders.

Key Skills & Experience:

• Experience in handling end-to-end solution delivery within AI and data domains

• Solid knowledge of AI technologies such as Open.AI, DeepSeek, Qwen, and other LLM models

• Familiarity with big data platforms and cloud technologies including AWS, Azure, Databricks, Snowflake, Hortonworks, Cloudera

• Strong analytical skills to investigate and solve complex data challenges

• Effective communication skills in English and Chinese (Cantonese or Mandarin)

• At least 3 years’ experience in solution assessment, POC design, and risk evaluation for AI solutions

• Technical degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, Analytics, or similar disciplines

• Experience building and operationalizing enterprise AI solutions

• Knowledge of regional regulatory requirements and data governance tools such as Collibra and Alation

• Experience with project delivery methodologies, including SDLC and agile approaches

• Fluency in English; proficiency in Mandarin/Cantonese is beneficial

Key Responsibilities:

• Work with EY teams to develop and deliver solutions utilizing big data platforms and cloud technologies

• Design and implement responsible AI solutions, integrating them into client workflows

• Manage data models, policies, and procedures to ensure data quality and accessibility

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop data strategies and support data-driven decision-making

• Assess feasibility, challenges, and risks associated with AI solutions, developing proof of concepts

• Communicate technical solutions and project progress effectively to clients and stakeholders

• Support the growth of AI and data capabilities within client organizations

Requirements:

• Right to work in Hong Kong

• On-site working environment

• 2 years or more experience in relevant solution delivery roles

• Experience working in or consulting into the financial services sector

• Ability to work with a variety of project delivery tools from major vendors and open-source platforms

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

• Experience with building and operationalizing enterprise AI solutions
