Algorithm KDB Analyst (Ibank/ Up to 126k)

Position Description

We are seeking an experienced Algo KDB Analyst to join our Algo team. Our trading platform is purely developed in-house; the successful candidate will work closely with Electronic Execution desk, Equity Traders and Technologists to deliver high quality, cutting edge solutions.

The candidate will have to work effectively in a dynamic and diversified team environment.

Key Areas of Responsibilities

• Lead the build out of the KDB+ based global analytics product – a key area of growth for our Electronic product offering

• Be responsible for the day to day operation and development of the analytics product - including real-time and historical market data, algo execution details and alternative data sources.

• Work closely with the quant team to develop a fully-featured analytics API for modelling and data analysis

• Improve integration between the analytics system and other areas of the Electronic trading Suite, such as the execution engine, model engine, UI and post trade system.

• Extend and improve the production data infrastructure

• Resolve operational issues and implement preventative measures

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Computer Science or Software Engineering or Quantitative Discipline.

• 10+ years of experience in KDB, with an excellent KDB / Q development skills.

• Strong understanding of KDB architecture and design best practices

• In depth understanding of Equities Market Data

• Experience with Refinitiv Elektron or RRDT feeds

• Experience in API design

• Exposure to TCA / Post trade reporting

• Some experience in other programming languages, such as Python, C# or R

• Strong analytic and problem-solving skills

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in English
