Job Description - ALYST, Specialist, Fund Admin & Trade Input Cash Trans Operations, Corporate Banking Group Operation

Business Function

Technology and Operations (T&O) enables and empowers the bank with an efficient, nimble and resilient infrastructure through a strategic focus on productivity, quality & control, technology, people capability and innovation. In T&O, we manage the majority of the Bank's operational processes and inspire to delight our business partners through our multiple banking delivery channels.

Responsibilities
  • Perform securities master setup, trade input, market data input such as pricing & corporate action events, holding reconciliation.
  • Perform cash transaction update & reconciliation.
  • Liaise with fund administration accounting team on NAV preparation.
  • Handle enquiries from fund managers in an efficient manner.
  • Adhere to the operating procedures and agreed services standard and comply with company requirements / regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in user acceptance test for system migration / enhancements and ad-hoc projects related to operations environment.
  • Maintain up-to-date document filing record.
  • Process market trade settlement instructions in CCASS, Foreign Markets, Unit Trust and CMU Products
  • Handle day-to-day operation in settlement system (scripless and physical) on equities, fixed income and other types of instruments.
  • Participate in user acceptance test for system enhancements. Review business requirements and functional specifications.Prepare test cases and conduct testing
  • Participate in project initiatives and business development, e.g. business continuity management, review of operational procedures, policies and guidelines, specific and job-related training, etc.
  • Handle regular and ad hoc tasks as designed by Team Manager and Department Head
Requirements
  • University Graduate or above in Business or related disciplines
  • At least 4 years of relevant experience custodian, fund admin and settlement.
  • Sound experience of banking operation and practices
  • Be fully conversant with CCASS, SFC Rules, SFO and HKICL
  • Be familiar with the market trend and new product / system development of local and foreign securities market
  • Self-motivated with strong analytical mind and creative thinking
  • Good team player, supportive and flexible to take up departmental tasks
  • Excellent communication skills and command in English and Chinese (both spoken & written)
  • Good presentation skills and knowledge in MS Office
