Job Description - ALYST, Specialist, Know Your Customer, SME Banking, Institutional Banking Group

Business Function

Corporate and Investment Banking provides corporate customers with a full range of commercial banking products and services, including cash management services, current accounts, time deposits, trade finance, working capital finance, term loans and foreign exchange. Through our continued commitment, DBS has cultivated long-standing relationships with its customers in the region that are based on account relationship management, service differentiation, product development and rigorous credit standards.

Responsibilities
  • Provide end-to-end KYC and account opening services for new corporate customers
  • Manage a portfolio of assigned new applications and achieve new client acquisition targets within a reasonable turnaround time
  • Receive account opening leads from various referral sources, including SME Midcap and online submissions
  • Contact and engage with prospective corporate clients to understand their requirements and facilitate the account opening process
  • Collaborate with relevant teams and stakeholders to ensure a seamless onboarding experience for new clients
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all client interactions and account opening activities
  • Identify and address any issues or concerns that may arise during the account opening process
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of KYC and account opening procedures and processes
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a relevant field
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the banking or financial services industry
  • Strong understanding of KYC and account opening requirements for corporate clients
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients and internal stakeholders
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team to achieve set targets and objectives
  • Attention to detail and a problem-solving mindset
  • Commitment to providing high-quality customer service and maintaining confidentiality of client information
