About the Opportunity Our client, a leading global investment bank, is seeking a high-caliber Application Support Analyst to join their mission-critical technology team. This is an exciting opportunity to work at the heart of the trading environment, ensuring the seamless performance of systems that power front-to-back investment banking operations.
You will play a key role in maintaining system stability, resolving complex production issues, and partnering closely with both business stakeholders and engineering teams in a fast-paced, high-impact environment.
What You'll Be Doing

Provide end-to-end production support for business-critical investment banking applications
Proactively monitor system performance and respond to incidents with urgency and precision
Conduct deep-dive investigations using SQL and system logs to diagnose and resolve issues
Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and drive continuous improvement initiatives
Support batch processing, job scheduling, and release cycles
Collaborate with development teams on fixes, enhancements, and system optimization
Engage directly with front-office and operations users to deliver timely solutions

What We're Looking For

Proven experience in Application Support within Financial Services or Investment Banking
Strong hands-on expertise with:
- Linux or Unix environments
- Advanced SQL skills (data analysis, troubleshooting, performance queries)
Solid experience managing production incidents in a high-availability environment
Prior experience in scripting (Python, Bash, or Shell) to automate and streamline support tasks is a PLUS
