Application Support Engineer Financial Trading Technology (APAC) - J12728

Our global financial trading client is looking for a technically-minded Application Support Engineer to join their Hong Kong technology team. This role is a central point of contact for the systems that power their APAC trade processing. You will manage, deploy, and optimize the mission-critical applications that ensure trading activities are captured, processed, and finalized accurately in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

1. Provide high-tier support for Post-Trade applications, ensuring maximum uptime and reliability in a high-volume, time-sensitive environment.
2. Manage the end-to-end deployment of software across both Windows and Linux platforms.
3. Actively reduce manual overhead by developing scripts and tools to improve system monitoring and management.
4. Work closely with Middle Office and Operations teams to troubleshoot and refine the trade processing flow.

Requirements:

1. 5+ years in application or production support, with a track record of managing complex deployments, ideally in a trading environment.
2. One or more capabilities in Python, C#, SQL, or other programming languages. You should be comfortable reading code and writing scripts to solve operational problems.
3. A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field is preferred.
