Job Description - Area HR Total Rewards Specialist

The Asia Area Human Resources (HR) Department seeks an Area HR Total Rewards Specialist to support HR core work with an emphasis on Total Rewards functions for the Asia Area. The Area HR team provides a wide range of human resources services to over 10 country offices with hundreds of employees in Asia. This role reports to the Compensation and Benefits Manager.

  • Partner with Headquarters to work on Compensation & Benefits survey analysis 
  • Support annual compensation cycle including salary structure building, merit administration, and allowance review
  • Evaluate existing benefits plans, make proposals, seek approvals, and implement change.
  • Drive benefits renewals and negotiate service agreements in partnership with internal legal counsel
  • Coordinate retirement plan, administration, and payout
  • Conduct benefits education and training
  • Answer Compensation and Benefits first-tier questions and maintain benefit inventory 
  • Manage benefits administration including enrolment, termination and premium payment
  • Administer leave benefits (Parental, Maternity, Short-term disability and workers compensation)
  • Research and ensure benefits meet external and internal compliance
  • Other essential tasks as assigned
  • Bachelor’s degree with 4-6 years professional experience or any combination of equivalent education and work experience
  • Comprehensive working knowledge of HR operations, specifically Total Rewards
  • Familiarity of best practices of HR functions
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, customer service and organizational skills.
  • Fluent in written and oral English
  • Key skills and core competencies include the ability to: Analyze and interpret data Understand contracts and policies Manage vendors Build relationships Consult with business leaders Communicate effectively in writing and verbally through influence and compromise
