Our client is an international asset management with an unparalleled reputation across the Asia Pacific region. With the continued growth of the organization, the need has arisen to recruit high calibers to join them.

Provide leadership, direction, and consulting to managers across APAC Distribution encompassing all investment products and institutional clients serviced. This is a first line of defense position that is responsible for the planning, implementation and monitoring of compliance requirements and, establishing and executing programs to measure, mitigate and monitor risk to ensure that the international operations of the business unit comply with relevant legislation and regulation in a multi-jurisdictional regulatory environment. Design and deliver effective compliance and risk management programs and reporting.

Responsibilities

1. Responsible for the coordination of compliance- and risk-related activities taking place in different jurisdictions in the APAC region for the first line of defense
2. Leads disciplinary or cross-functional compliance and risk program for APAC Distribution
3. Acts as advisor to management and key external stakeholders on broad-ranging projects
4. Provides strategic consulting to senior managers responsible for business unit compliance and risk management
5. Collaboratively develops the strategic direction for APAC Distribution’s compliance and risk programs and manages the daily operations of the CRM function.
6. Acts as the Compliance Coordinator for APAC Distribution and manage the day-to-day compliance activities as well as the execution of projects that support the business, meet regulatory expectations, and ensure positive outcomes.
7. Develops, maintains, and communicates a compliance and risk plan for APAC Distribution to Senior Leaders in first line and APAC Compliance in second line and, provides regular updates to the plan including accounting for any new regulatory requirements.

Experience

1. Bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education with a minimum of 8 years of relevant work experience
2. Knowledgeable on country specific rules and regulations for all APAC regions.
3. Ability to understand complex and multi-jurisdictional regulatory requirements and maintain a broad understanding of various processes across APAC
4. Knowledge of APAC regulatory framework with relevant experience
5. Excellent interpersonal & communications skills
