Asset Management - Fixed Income Research Analyst / Assistant Portfolio Manager (APM)

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated Fixed Income Research Analyst to join our investment team. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of bottom-up research experience within the asset management industry, supporting fixed income portfolio managers in generating investment ideas and managing portfolios. An Assistant Portfolio Manager position could be offer to more senior candidate. APM will start with managing discretionary accounts.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Conduct in-depth fundamental research and credit analysis on issuers across global fixed income markets, with a focus on European, Japanese, and ASEAN bonds .
2. Develop valuation models and maintain comprehensive credit coverage for assigned issuers.
3. Monitor macroeconomic trends, sector developments, and market dynamics that may impact portfolio positioning.
4. Prepare detailed research reports, investment recommendations, and presentations for portfolio managers and senior stakeholders.
5. Collaborate closely with the trading and portfolio management teams to support investment decisions and risk management.

Qualifications & Experience:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related discipline; a CFA qualification is preferred.
2. at least 5 years of relevant experience in fixed income research within an asset management or investment firm.
3. Strong understanding of credit markets, bond valuation, and global fixed income instruments.
4. Proficiency in financial modeling, Bloomberg, and data analysis tools.
5. Excellent analytical, communication, and writing skills, with a keen eye for detail.
6. Self-motivated, collaborative, and able to work effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
