Assistant Business Development Manager / Senior Officer (General Insurance)

Job Summary

• To lead and drive business growth on General Insurance businesses with our new strategic life agency partner


• Act as a key person to lead business production by providing technical underwriting support, including on-site assistance at partner offices


• Build and maintain strong relationships with key & productive life agency partners to achieve sales targets    

Job Accountabilities

• Lead the business development strategy and act as a key contact for leading agency forces in the Hong Kong market


• Be the main contact person to help our strategic partners understand and promote our products


• Provide technical underwriting support (SME & Personal Lines) to facilitate new business and renewals


• Visit partner offices to provide on-site support and guidance


• Manage and monitor the sales pipeline and activities of key accounts


• Proactively identify and implement improvements for sales and distribution processes


• Share market information to help identify new business opportunities


• Contribute to project teams by completing assigned tasks and providing support where required

Job Qualification

• Bachelor’s Degree holder and/or with professional insurance qualification (eg. IIQE)


• Minimum 5 years of experience with technical General Insurance knowledge on SME and Personal Lines


• Experience in working with life agency partners is highly preferred


• Good command of written & spoken English and Chinese (including Cantonese and Mandarin)


• Proactive, fast learner and able to work independently


• Good interpersonal and communication skills


• Candidates with less experience can be considered as Senior Officer
