Assistant Engineer/Engineer - Transmission Operation (Instrumentation Projects)

The Role:

• Facilitate regular performance checking, maintenance & servicing works of existing telecommunications system, CCTV operating system, SCADA system, PLC control systems and other infrastructure for town gas pressure reduction facilities
• Assist in diagnosis of faults in electrical/electronic systems, repair damaged electrical/electronic devices, produce schematic wiring diagram and other schematics, run performance tests, troubleshoot issues and compile data into detailed reports
• Assist in developing PLC control systems
• Electrical and electronic product evaluation and testing is required
• Take part in ad hoc duties when an emergency may arise. Thus, odd working hours may have to be encountered
• Work sometimes not takes place in office environment, but in company’s designated outdoor town gas pressure reduction facilities within Hong Kong

The Person:

• Higher Diploma or above in Electronic Engineering / Electrical Engineering or relevant disciplines
• Minimum 2 years’ working experience in engineering field is preferred
• Knowledge in programming of PLC control systems is preferred
• Good interpersonal and communication skills with good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese, fluency in Putonghua is preferable
• Able to work independently with strong analytical and practical problem-solving skills
• Capable to work at sites and office
• Holder of valid driving license of Class 1 & 2 is an advantage
• Holder of Electrical Worker License of Grade A is an advantage
