Job Description - Assistant Finance Manager (Natural resources sector)

You will be part of a lean finance team and have real ownership of reporting, consolidation and finance-led projects that shape the business.

Key responsibilities

Lead month-end close activities for the group, prepare consolidation and deliver timely consolidated financial statements.
Produce management accounts, variance analysis for senior management.
Lead / support finance projects / business projects.
Support statutory reporting, audits and regulatory filings; coordinate with external auditors and tax advisors.
Perform ad-hoc financial analysis, support budgeting/forecast cycles and commercial decision-making.

Qualifications and requirements

Professional qualification (HKICPA/CPA/ACCA) is a must.
5-8 years' experience with mandatory Big-4 audit background plus minimum 2+ years in an in-house finance role.
Hands-on experience in group consolidation, multi-entity accounting and intercompany eliminations.
Proven project management experience is a plus (please state.)
Advanced Excel skills (including VBA), and experience with ERP systems.
Strong commercial acumen, attention to detail, and ability to present financial information clearly to non-finance stakeholders.
Excellent communication in English,Cantonese, and Mandarin.
Proactive, adaptable, able to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
