We are looking for a assistant lab transport operations manager who will be responsible for the timely, safe, and compliant collection, transportation, and delivery of medical or laboratory samples between clinics, hospitals, collection sites, and central laboratories, ensuring adherence to biohazard and temperature control regulations.

Responsibilities:

• Collect medical samples such as but not limited to blood, tissue and other exempt human specimen) from designated collection points according to the scheduled route
• Verify sample labeling, documentation, and chain-of-custody records
• Ensure all samples are transported under required temperature and safety conditions using insulated transport boxes via public transport
• Arrange for samples to be delivered securely to overseas diagnostic laboratories within specified timeframes
• Return documents, reports, or other materials from the lab to clinics as required
• Adhere to infection control, biohazard handling, and transport regulations in line with Department of Health and WHO/IATA guidelines
• Report any incidents, delays, or sample integrity concerns immediately to supervisors
• Perform daily vehicle checks and maintain transportation equipment in good order
• Support any ad-hoc logistics or transport duties as assigned by the laboratory

Requirements:

• Prior experience as a courier or messenger preferred; medical transport experience is a strong advantage
• Familiarity with Hong Kong’s street network and major hospitals/clinics
• Basic understanding of infection control and safe handling of biological samples (training will be provided)
• Physically fit, with the ability to lift and handle sample containers
• Good communication skills; Cantonese preferred, with basic English considered an advantage
• Responsible, punctual, and dependable

Working Conditions:

• Field-based role with the majority of time spent on the road
• May involve carrying insulated boxes for sample transport
• Exposure to hospital and clinic environments
