1880 is a members’ club from Singapore born out of the idea that conversations can make the world a better place. Launching in Hong Kong this year, 1880 will redefine what it means to go to work through a visionary new concept.

Between a stretch of office towers are the four floors of 1880 SOCIAL, offering a diverse range of enriching experiences for all who work (and play) in the area.

1880 will operate four restaurants, a coffee shop, bars, and a members’ club. There will be a multi-purpose event space and workspace lounge with rooms to meet and create. Our approach to wellness combines a balance of different holistic practices through innovative gym and spa concepts. Additionally, we will activate the space and engage the community through an exciting calendar of events and programming.

Job Titles – Assistant Manager

Reporting to – Outlet Manager

Expectations:

• Reliable team player with the eagerness to learn and grow

• Strong leadership skills, mature, outgoing & guest oriented, good communication skills

• Self-motivated, hard-working, and takes the initiative

• Wide-ranging experience and the ability to deal with challenges in a calm manner

• Work closely with other associates in a supportive and flexible manner, focusing on the overall success of the club and the satisfaction of members and guests

• Assist Restaurant Manager to ensure day-to-day operations run efficiently

• Be present at all times in the restaurant, especially during busy periods

• Interact with Members to obtain feedback and build positive relationships

• Handle guest problems and complaints, seeking help as necessary

• Manage staffing levels to meet operational needs including handling staff questions & concerns

• Setup for events in full; Make necessary checks needed for specific events or functions as needed

• Handle administration duties include billing, daily report and assignments

• Attend and contribute to all training sessions and meetings as required

• Maintain a clean and organised restaurant environment, adhering to sanitation and hygiene standards at all times

• Ensure that the 1880 SOCIAL level of excellence is upheld in every part of dining service

• Understand and adhere to Rules and Regulations established in the Staff Guidebook and the club’s policies concerning fire, hygiene and health and safety
