Job Description

As Assistant Manager in the compliance team, your main responsibilities will include:

Monitoring and ensuring compliance with local regulations and company policies.
Assisting in the development and implementation of compliance frameworks and guidelines, including those relating to AML, counter-financing of terrorism and data privacy.
Oversee customer due diligence process and liaising with relevant business units.
Conducting compliance risk assessments and reporting findings to relevant stakeholders.
Providing guidance and training to internal teams on compliance-related matters.
Reviewing and updating internal policies to ensure alignment with regulatory changes.
Supporting the Legal department in addressing compliance-related queries and issues.
Collaborating with external regulators and auditors as needed.
Preparing compliance reports and documentation for management review.

The Successful Applicant

A successful candidate should have:

A degree in Law, Business, or a related field, with at least 5 years of relevant compliance experience.
Knowledge of compliance principles and regulatory requirements within the insurance industry.
Experience with CDD/KYC review, EDD, sanctions/PEP screening, risk assessment, etc.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Proficiency in written and spoken English and Chinese.
A proactive and solutions-oriented approach to problem-solving.
