Assistant Manager, Human Resources - Compensation & Benefits (Payroll Focus)
Location: Hong Kong

A prestigious international pure private bank is seeking an Assistant Manager, HR to join its dynamic Human Resources team. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented and t ech-savvy individual to build expertise in Compensation & Benefits and payroll operations within a highly reputable financial institution.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support end-to-end payroll administration ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with internal policies and Hong Kong regulations
  • Assist in the administration of compensation and benefits programs, including bonus cycles, insurance, and employee benefits schemes
  • Maintain and update employee data within HRIS systems (e.g. Workday)
  • Prepare regular HR reports and dashboards using data analytics tools (e.g. Power BI, Excel)
  • Conduct data validation, reconciliation, and analysis to support HR decision-making
  • Partner with Finance and external vendors on payroll-related matters
  • Support HR projects, including system enhancements, process improvement, and digital transformation initiatives
  • Handle employee queries related to payroll, benefits, and HR policies
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or related disciplines
  • 2-5 years of HR experience, preferably with exposure to C&B, payroll, or HR operations
  • Strong interest in data analytics and HR systems
  • Hands-on experience with Power BI, Excel (pivot tables, formulas) or other data visualization tools
  • Familiarity with Workday or other HRIS platforms is highly advantageous
  • High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and strong numerical sense
  • Proactive, organized, and able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Fluent in Cantonese and English (spoken and written)
