Job Description - Assistant Manager - Innovation and Payment Business

Airstar Bank Limited, a jointly established entity between Xiaomi Corporation and AMTD Group, is a virtual bank licensed by the Hong Kong Monetary Authority.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Assist in the development and execution of innovative payment strategies that align with business goals and market needs.
  2. Support the management and delivery of payment projects, ensuring they meet quality standards, timelines, and budget requirements.
  3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Product, IT, Marketing, and Compliance, to drive project initiatives and product launches.
  4. Monitor industry trends to identify opportunities and risks associated with virtual assets and related regulatory developments.
  5. Contribute to the strategic planning and execution of projects, ensuring alignment with the bank's digital transformation goals.
  6. Conduct market research and competitive analysis to stay abreast of industry trends and identify opportunities for innovation.
  7. Facilitate effective communication between stakeholders, vendors, and internal teams to ensure project success.
  8. Help manage relationships with payment networks, fintech partners, and other external stakeholders.
  9. Contribute to the preparation of business cases, project documentation, and reports for senior management.
  10. Ensure all payment innovations comply with regulatory standards and best practices.

Job Requirements

  1. Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Computer Science, or related field; Master's degree is a plus.
  2. Minimum of 3 years of experience in payment solutions, fintech, or related field within a banking or financial services environment.
  3. Proven track record in supporting the delivery of payment projects and understanding of project management methodologies.
  4. Knowledge of the latest trends in digital payments, including mobile payments, e-wallets, and blockchain technology.
  5. Familiarity with the Hong Kong payment market and regulatory environment.
  6. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  7. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with the capacity to engage effectively at all levels of the organization.
  8. Agile and adaptable to the fast-paced and evolving payment landscape.
  9. Creative thinker with a passion for innovation and technology.
  10. Ability to work independently and as part of a team to meet deadlines and objectives.
  11. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with proficiency in Mandarin, Cantonese, and English.
