We are currently looking for an Assistant Manager, Projects to join our dynamic team, which plays a crucial role in the successful execution and delivery of the company's diverse real estate projects. With a strong focus on innovation, sustainability, and quality, the department oversees the entire lifecycle of development projects, from design, construction and handover process. Our team of highly skilled and experienced professionals in architecture, engineering, construction management, and project planning collaborate seamlessly to ensure that each project aligns with Swire Properties' vision and meets the highest standards of excellence.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and monitor programme, supervise project progress to facilitate completion on time
  • Coordinate and monitor design process, be responsible to make proposals to development team
  • Manage project procurement, time and cost control process, and oversee the tendering, construction and handover procedures
  • Work closely with Senior Project Manager and Project Manager in establishing design brief, budgets, programmes and submission priorities
  • Liaise and co-ordinate with internal stakeholders e.g. Development & Valuations, Office & Retail Portfolio, Residential and Technical Services & Sustainable Development Department in the development process
  • Coordinate with consultants, contractors, suppliers and Government regulatory bodies
  • Attend meetings with consultants and contractors and ensure progress of design, procurement and construction to meet the target dates
  • Coordinate with internal marketing team on design and marketing brochures
  • Coordinate with consultants and relevant internal stakeholders for budget and cash flow preparation and approval
  • Prepare progress reports and cost control documents
  • Assist Project Manager to conduct site audit
  • Monitor consultants, contractors and other parties associated with the projects

 

REQUIREMENTS 

  • Degree in Architecture or related discipline
  • Minimum 8 years’ experience in design, construction or project management role, assisting project managers on large-scale property developments
  • Makes good and timely decisions that keep the organisation moving forward
  • Adapts approach and demeanour in a timely manner to match the shifting demands of different situations
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills in written and spoken English and Chinese
  • Excellent interpersonal and coordination skills to liaise with internal and external stakeholders
  • Able to work independently, under pressure and meet tight deadline
  • Energetic, self-driven and detail-minded team player
  • Conversant with local government regulations of property development process in Hong Kong
  • Proficient in Auto-CAD, Building Information Modelling, scheduling and similar projects control software
