Job Description - Assistant Manager/Manager, Regulatory Compliance, Foreign Corp Bank
Your new company Our client is one of Asia's leading financial institutions, with a strong presence across ASEAN and key global markets. As part of their continued growth, they are seeking a capable and detail-oriented compliance professional to join their Regulatory Compliance team.
Your new role
Monitor and assess regulatory changes issued by local and overseas regulators (e.g. HKMA, SFC, MAS), and support impact assessments and implementation
Act as a key liaison between the Bank and internal stakeholders as well as local regulators, including the HKMA, SFC, and the Hong Kong Association of Banks.
Advise business and support units on regulatory compliance matters, including licencing obligations, conduct requirements, and regulatory developments.
Assist in the development, review, and maintenance of compliance policies, procedures, and controls
Support regulatory reporting, regulatory enquiries, and ongoing supervisory engagements
Manage the regulatory circulars and guidelines register, track implementation progress, identify gaps, and monitor remediation and follow-up to ensure timely compliance.
Participate in compliance risk assessments, monitoring programmes, and thematic reviews
Provide compliance guidance on new products, services, and business initiatives
Support compliance training and awareness programmes across the organisation
Liaise with regional compliance teams to ensure consistency with Group standards.
Undertake ad-hoc projects and tasks as assigned by management from time to time.
What you'll need to succeed
Bachelor's degree in Law, Business, or a related discipline.
Open to candidates at different seniority levels, with relevant regulatory and/or compliance experience within the banking industry.
Strong analytical and logical thinking capabilities, with a high level of attention to detail and a proven ability to follow issues through to resolution.
Sound knowledge of Hong Kong regulatory requirements and supervisory expectations.
Excellent written and spoken proficiency in English and Chinese.
