Job Description - Assistant Merchandiser / Merchandising Coordinator

Overview:

As a Assistant Assistant Merchandiser / Merchandising Coordinator - based in Hong Kong, you will be responsible to drive and monitor the contract preparation, operational documentation process and manage logistics arrangement in an effective and meticulous manner. In addition, you will be expected to follow and adhere to instructions to ensure smooth and successful operational activities with both internal and external stakeholders. Additionally, this person must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with a specific timeline and ensure operational deliverables are met. The ideal Assistant Merchandiser / Merchandising Coordinator will possess a strong sense of urgency, amicable organization skills and willingness to grow and contribute to the success of the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist to prepare and follow-up promptly or within 48 hours upon receiving operational instructions on purchase orders, request forms, tooling documentations from respective customers, factories and/or internal stakeholders
  • Proper daily monitoring, maintenance, and filing of all official documentations, such as audit reports, lab test, QC reporting etc.; and ensuring approval and signature compliance is in order
  • Verify and ensure accuracy on received purchases orders, invoices, shipment details and all other official documentations that requires filing and monitoring
  • Coordinate the sample arrangement process and overseeing shipments to the customers and/or factories
  • Coordinating among both internal and external stakeholders in areas of but not limited to obtaining daily production status reports, signed agreements, arrangement of sample logistics etc
  • General administration and ad hoc involvement in tasks or projects as assigned by team leader/supervisor in areas of process enhancement, product cycle and customer branding


Requirements/ Qualifications:

  • Diploma or above in business or related field; High School certificate holders with substantial years of related experience will be considered
  • Min 2 years of relevant experience in a sales coordination, merchandising, or marketing support function. Preferably in consumer product.
  • Good communication & interpersonal skills as a team player
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese (Cantonese & Mandarin), showcasing strong language and writing skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft office skills. Knowledge in ERP will be an advantageous
  • Possess amicable prioritization and organization skills, meticulous, analytical, collaborative and the willingness to learn and grow within the organization
  • Less experience will be considered as Marketing Coordinator
