Assistant Programme Officer (23240685)
The Department of Accountancy, Economics and Finance (AEF) is seeking a highly self-motivated and dynamic team member to work on two taught postgraduate programme’s (i.e., MSc.DABE and MSc.AECON) daily operation, with a focus on student development and alumni engagement.
Responsibilities:
- Student development: organise a range of out-of-classroom activities (field trips, corporate visits, industry talks, etc.) and other experimental learning opportunities to enhance students' academic and professional development; collaborate with faculty to integrate co-curricular activities with the formal curriculum to enhance the overall learning experience;
- Alumni engagement:liaise and maintain effective communication with the alumni community, implement strategies for active alumni engagement to foster opportunities for student mentorship, networking, and career development;
- Administrative and logistic support: (1) provide necessary admin support to student & alumni activities to ensure procedural compliance, (2) liaise with external or internal parties to ensure smooth event logistics, (3) manage relevant database and documentation, prepare report on the outcomes and feedback to inform future planning;
- Support other functions such as branding, marketing, admission, and academic matters when necessary;
- Support department and school-level activities when needed; and
- Performing any other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- A bachelor's degree with at least two years of relevant work experience preferably in programme administration/tertiary institutions;
- Effective communication skills with excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua);
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, the ability to work independently;
- Self-motivated with a detailed and analytical mindset; and
- Proficiency in computer applications, particularly MS Office.
Shortlisted candidates would be invited for an interview. The initial appointment will be offered on a fixed term contract of two years commencing as soon as possible. Reappointment thereafter will be subject to subject to performance review, mutual agreement, and availability of funding.
Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
