Assistant Relationship Manager EAM , International Private Bank

About Our Client

Our client is a prestigious international private bank with a strong footprint in Asia. They are expanding their External Asset Manager (EAM) division in Hong Kong and are seeking a proactive Assistant Relationship Manager (ARM) to provide dedicated support to EAM clients and senior bankers.

The Role

This position is central to ensuring smooth collaboration between the bank and its EAM partners. The ARM will act as the operational backbone of the relationship, coordinating across internal teams and delivering exceptional service to external asset managers.

Key Responsibilities

1. Serve as the primary support contact for EAMs, handling daily requests and ensuring timely execution of trades, payments, and other banking transactions.
2. Coordinate account opening and onboarding processes, ensuring compliance with regulatory and KYC requirements.
3. Liaise with product specialists to deliver tailored investment solutions and respond to EAM inquiries.
4. Prepare and maintain client documentation, portfolio reports, and performance reviews for EAM partners.
5. Monitor client accounts for risk, margin, and regulatory adherence, escalating issues when necessary.
6. Facilitate communication between EAMs and internal stakeholders (operations, compliance, investment desks).
7. Support Relationship Managers in business development by tracking pipeline opportunities and assisting with client pitches.
8. Ensure smooth settlement of trades and resolve operational issues promptly.
9. Maintain accurate records of client interactions and contribute to process improvements within the EAM division.

Ideal Candidate

1. Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or related discipline.
2. 2–6+ years of experience in private banking, wealth management, or financial services.
3. Strong knowledge of investment products, banking operations, and compliance frameworks.
4. Excellent communication skills in English; Cantonese and/or Mandarin are advantageous.
5. Client-centric, detail-oriented, and highly organized with the ability to multitask.
6. Comfortable working in a fast-paced, international environment.
