Client Details

Our client is a leading Retail company specialising in Apparel and Denim products. They are now looking for a highly motivated and skilled Assistant Sourcing Manager to join their team.

Description

• Develop and implement sourcing strategies to ensure the availability of high-quality apparel and denim products.
• Conduct market research to identify new suppliers, evaluate their capabilities, and negotiate favourable terms and pricing.
• Assist in managing supplier relationships, including regular communication, performance evaluation, and issue resolution.
• Monitor industry trends and developments, keeping abreast of new technologies, materials, and production methods to drive innovation and efficiency.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including design, production, and quality assurance, to ensure seamless product development and delivery.
• Oversee the end-to-end sourcing process, from initial product concept to production and delivery, ensuring adherence to quality standards, timelines, and budgetary constraints.
• Maintain accurate records of supplier contracts, agreements, and product specifications.
• Analyse sourcing metrics and provide regular reports to management, identifying areas for improvement and cost-saving opportunities.
• Stay updated on relevant regulations and compliance requirements related to sourcing and supply chain management.

Profile

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Fashion Merchandising, or a related field.
• Proven experience in sourcing and procurement within the fashion industry, preferably with a focus on apparel and denim.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with suppliers.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail.
• Familiarity with sourcing processes, including supplier evaluation, contract negotiation, and production management.
• Proficiency in using sourcing and supply chain management software tools.
• Knowledge of ethical sourcing practices and sustainability initiatives in the fashion industry.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Fluent in Cantonese, English and Mandarin
• Open to travel to China
