Private Banking and Trust Services RBW
Hang Seng's Private Banking provides services for people who have successfully built their asset base and now want to place their wealth in the hands of experts who know how to nurture it. Our banking services and products are bespoke, ranging from tailored investment advice and capital solutions to holistic health and personal protection and trustee services. Our team offers professional wealth management advice at both a local level and on a global scale. Should you join our Private Banking business, you will focus on building close relationship with our high-net-worth customers, providing professional advice and premium service to them and contribute to the profitability of the Bank. We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our Trust Services Team as Assistant Trust Operations Manager (6-9 months contract), reporting to Head of Trust Services.
Principal responsibilities
Handle full set of trust accounts, including daily bookkeeping, journal posting and general ledger maintenance for designated trusts and related entities.
Prepare periodic financial statements for trusts and companies, including reconciliations and adjustment entries.
Perform bank and investment reconciliations, investigate unusual items, and ensure records agree with custodian and bank statements.
Handle the team general administrative matters and assist on other internal reporting tasks
Any other ad hoc tasks as assigned from time to time
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline;
Professional accounting qualification (e.g. HKICPA / CPA Australia / ACCA) is an advantage.
Proven of accounting experience; exposure to trust, fund accounting, family office or private banking / trust company environment is a plus.
Solid understanding of accounting principles; knowledge of trust accounting and fiduciary duties is a plus.
Strong Excel skills and experience with accounting systems;
comfortable working with data and reconciliations.
Detail minded, strong sense of responsibility.
Good written and spoken English and Chinese; able to read legal and financial documents.
