Job Description - Assistant Vice President - Clearing Operations

Job Summary: Collaborate with a team of 10+ professionals to deliver effective operational support for clearing operations in strict adherence to established rules, policies, and procedures.
Job Duties:
Key Responsibilities
Provide end-to-end post-trade operation processing for on exchange and OTC products, including trade novation, clearing, and day-to-day regulatory reporting support
Provide operational support to resolve production incidents effectively and efficiently
Actively liaise with internal stakeholders, Clearing Members, and external counterparties to manage exceptions and ensure timely resolution
Gather and analyze business requirements, articulating them clearly to deliver high-quality services in support of new business initiatives
Perform in-depth analysis to support business cases and operational enhancements
Review and analyze technical documentation, identify if there are gaps when supporting system testing including User Acceptance Test and regression testing
Competencies
Proven ability to manage cross-functional stakeholders and translate business needs into effective solutions
Quick learner, self-motivated, and a strong team player
Strong sense of ownership, with the ability to meet deadlines under pressure
Self-driven with the ability to communicate clearly and openly
Analytical, detail-oriented, and results-focused
Fluency in English and Chinese (spoken and written); Putonghua proficiency is an advantage
Willingness to perform shift duties, including evening shifts and public holiday support on a regular or ad-hoc basis
Qualifications and Experiences
University degree, preferably in Finance, Business Administration, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline
Minimum 8 years of experience in the banking or financial services industry, preferably in OTC / FIC post-trade processing, experience in cash and equity markets is an advantage
Strong understanding of OTC / FIC products and front-to-back process flows
Experience in system implementation or transformation projects is a plus
Technical skills such as Excel Macro, PowerPoint, Power Automate, Power BI, and Jira are advantageous
