Job Description - Assistant Vice President - Post Trade Business Implementation & Analytics

Job Summary: We are looking for a high calibre individual to join the Post Trade Business Implementation and Analytics Team under Clearing & Depository of HKEX's Operations Division, who will help us on strategically important initiatives relevant to the new products launch and platform upgrade. This role is suited for a senior QA professional with strong financial domain knowledge, proven leadership in large-scale system testing, and the ability to work closely with business, technology, and external vendors.
Job Duties:
Responsibilities:
Engage with the business owners and users to understand, analyse and document requirements
Review user requirements and functional specifications and translate them into test cases;
Design testing strategy & approach, plan testing schedule, manage timeline and resource;
Lead and govern end-to-end system testing and quality assurance strategy for risk management systems which involve complex financial logics and risk methodologies
Identify and mitigate system risks, issues, and dependencies throughout the delivery lifecycle with clear documentation
Contribute to timely delivery of the project in line with project scope and expectation
Establish testing standards, methodologies, and best practices across UAT, regression, UIT and go-live readiness
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree (or above) preferably in Risk Management / Engineering / Computer Science or related subject
At least 7+ years of relevant experience, preferably in well-established financial organizations with proven 3+ years leadership experience managing large-scale QA teams or projects
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Familiar with various project management tools eg. Confluence, JIRA, etc..
Proficient with Excel, VBA programming
A team player and a self-starter, who can proactively engage with peers and clients, take ownership to ensure timely completion of all deliverables
Ability to work at a fast pace in a team and adapt style to ensure the project is successful
Knowledge of equity or derivatives market is a must
Experience of BA is a must
