Assistant Vice President - Post Trade Business Implementation & Analytics

Job Summary:
We are looking for a high calibre individual to join the Post Trade Business Implementation and Analytics Team under Clearing & Depository of HKEX's Operations Division, who will help us on strategically important initiatives relevant to the new products launch and platform upgrade. This role is suited for a senior QA professional with strong financial domain knowledge, proven leadership in large-scale system testing, and the ability to work closely with business, technology, and external vendors.

Job Duties:

Responsibilities:

• Engage with the business owners and users to understand, analyse and document requirements
• Review user requirements and functional specifications and translate them into test cases;
• Design testing strategy & approach, plan testing schedule, manage timeline and resource;
• Lead and govern end-to-end system testing and quality assurance strategy for risk management systems which involve complex financial logics and risk methodologies
• Identify and mitigate system risks, issues, and dependencies throughout the delivery lifecycle with clear documentation
• Contribute to timely delivery of the project in line with project scope and expectation
• Establish testing standards, methodologies, and best practices across UAT, regression, UIT and go-live readiness

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree (or above) preferably in Risk Management / Engineering / Computer Science or related subject
• At least 7+ years of relevant experience, preferably in well-established financial organizations with proven 3+ years leadership experience managing large-scale QA teams or projects
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Familiar with various project management tools eg. Confluence, JIRA, etc..
• Proficient with Excel, VBA programming
• A team player and a self-starter, who can proactively engage with peers and clients, take ownership to ensure timely completion of all deliverables
• Ability to work at a fast pace in a team and adapt style to ensure the project is successful
• Knowledge of equity or derivatives market is a must
• Experience of BA is a must
