Associate, Data Standards Specialist, Business Operations

Key Accountabilities

• Data Standards and Management
  • Formulate data standards guidelines;
  • Drive data standardization across the firm;
  • Develop and maintain metadata across the firm;
  • Provide data standard training;
  • Drive data standardization to improve data quality;
  • Lead and execute data quality improvement activities.
• Data BAU
  • Update data relevant policies and guidelines;
  • Coordinate with Head Office to make sure firm wide is in line with Head Office requirements and expectations;
  • Ensure firm wide is in compliance with both internal policies and guidelines as well as external regulation and industry’s requirements and best practices;
  • Implement the requirement of policies and processes from Head Office;
  • Be a facilitator to execute firm wide data initiatives taking into account the appropriate local requirements from relevant parties and project manage systems changes, when applicable.

Skills & Experience

• Bachelor degree in Information System, Business Management, Translation, or a related field;
• Minimum 5 years of experience in data standardization, data management or related roles, preferably in the banking or financial services industry;
• Candidates with over 2 years of full time working experience in Hong Kong or overseas is considered as an advantage;
• Strong in data standardization and data management;
• Problem solver with excellent communication skills and ability to formulate and remediate the resolution from complex environment;
• Capable of planning and executing on both short-term and long-term goals;
• Previous experience on understanding and interpreting PRC regulations would be advantageous;
• Proficient in Chinese and English, preferable native in Putonghua.
