Key Areas of Responsibilities

• Support the acquisition of new Rates & FX clients across Hedge Funds, Banks, Private Funds and Corporates by working closely with various stakeholders such as Credit Risk, Compliance, KYC and Legal Documentation teams to onboard clients to trade OTC macro derivatives.

• Primary support for clients’ day to day pricing inquiries and macro market colour updates to ensure clients are fully engaged with CLSA’s macro market coverage.

• Promote CITICS & CLSA’s macroeconomic research ideas and work closely with clients to translate ideas into trading flow.

• Work closely with Rates FX traders in Hong Kong and Beijing to identity core liquidity participants for our product focus areas and help to market and pitch to prospects and clients on our product capabilities and offerings.

• Work closely with other internal business divisions and affiliates (eg IE, IBD, AM, CSB, etc)  to promote and help develop their clients’ access to our Rates FX products.  Also be proactively conducting training to our internal divisions and other FICC Sales in HK and Beijing to help widen our channels of selling.

• Comply with relevant firm policies and regulatory requirements in relation to selling conduct and practice.

Requirements

• Bachelor or above degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Quantitative science or a related field.

• At least 7 years of front line experience in Sales and/or Trading gained through a Bank or a Securities house.

• Attained all required regulatory qualifications to carry out the necessary licensed activities.

• Exceptional understanding of FICC macro products and offshore client needs and the necessary liquidity channels for them.

• Takes self-initiatives and highly motivated to succeed in a new business operation buildout.

• Able to operate Bloomberg and other public trading venues especially in Rates & FX products

• Strong command of written and spoken English and Chinese (Cantonese or Putonghua).

• Candidate with less experience will be considered as Associate
