This is a unique opportunity to step into a newly created role and play a pivotal part in shaping the future of Asia’s insurance landscape through innovative, capital-efficient investment solutions. As an Associate Director, Insurance Solutions, you will join a dynamic team that prioritizes collaboration and creativity. Your work will involve close cooperation with colleagues in Asia, the US, and the UK to support growth and success.

What You'll do

• Develop holistic and sub-asset class investment strategies optimized for liabilities, capital charges, and higher yield based on insurance companies' financial objectives
• Enhance asset-liability matching frameworks (duration, cash flow alignment, downside protection) to ensure most effective liability hedging strategies
• Incorporate regional regulatory and capital regimes for key Asia markets (e.g., Hong Kong, Japan, Taiwan, Singapore, South Korea) into portfolio design
• Build a strong understanding of peers' offerings to help create best-in-class strategies
• Assist the core US based insurance solutions team in designing modeling tools to assess capital efficiency, risk-return trade-offs, and stress scenarios based on investment strategies being designed
• Partner with regional sales teams on client solutions, portfolio analysis, and business development to contribute to firm-level growth
• Engage insurance clients with regional sales team and conduct presentations on insurance solutions
• Provide technical advice to sales teams on structuring solutions and potential impacts to client’s regulatory capital and risk metrics
• Closely follow regional market regulations and highlight any relevant trends that might impact insurers
• Create client-facing materials and thought leadership in partnership with distribution and the US core insurance solutions teams

Who You Are

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience in business, economics, finance, or a related specialty is required. CFA designation or comparable experience is desirable; actuarial background considered a plus
• At least 7 years’ experience in insurance asset management, investment consulting, or related investment focused insurance segment
• Strong expertise in investment products (especially privates), ALM, understanding insurance liabilities, and Asian regulatory solvency frameworks
• Proven ability to work cross-regionally in a distributed team environment
• Strong analytical, communication, and commercial skills
• Written and verbal communication skills in Mandarin Chinese preferred
