Associate Director, Non-Financial Risk, Markets & Securities Services

Role Profile

We are seeking an experienced resource for the position of Associate Director, Non-Financial Risk - Agency Lending & Liquidity Services. This role sits within the Securities Services Non-Financial Risk team and is responsible for the end-to-end governance, risk oversight, and control framework related to the Agency Lending & Liquidity Services product.

The successful candidate will act as the ASP regional lead for all product related non-financial risk matters, ensuring that our service delivery aligns with contractual obligations, regulatory requirements, and the bank's internal risk appetite. This role requires a unique blend of deep securities services knowledge, agency lending and treasury product knowledge, and a robust understanding of operational and non-financial risk principles.

This role will report to Head of Agency Lending & Liquidity Services Non-Financial Risk, Securities Services.

Key Responsibilities

Regional oversight of Agency Lending & Liquidity Services product:

• Support new product and growth initiatives. Review and understand the risks front to back, ensuring risks are mitigated and controlled.
• Support consolidation of existing product governance meetings into a single non-Financial Risk meeting for the Agency Lending & Liquidity Services products.
• Establish and monitor key risk indicators (KRIs) and key control indicators (KCIs) specific to the Agency Lending & Liquidity Services products, providing regular reporting to senior management and relevant committees.
• Support the development of credit controls for Treasury product. Ensure that financial risks that manifest from the product are understood, mitigated and monitored within appetite.
• Collaborate with the product and tax teams to comprehend the changing tax landscape and implement controls to mitigate associated risks.

Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, or a related field.
• Solid experience within the financial services industry with deep understanding of stock lending and treasury functions, their operational processes and the financial risks that can manifest.
• Proven track record in risk management, governance, or controls role, preferably within a 1st or 2nd line of defence function.
• Expert knowledge of non-financial risk frameworks, including operational risk, compliance, and conduct risk.
• Strong experience in the Agency Lending & Liquidity Services products (stock loan, repo, treasury and fx)
• Excellent understanding of the global regulatory landscape impacting Securities Services.
