Associate Engineer (Ref. 240613008-IE)

Duties

The appointee will be required to:

(a) facilitate student learning and development, and to develop corresponding curriculum and pedagogy;

(b) lead and coordinate student learning modules and subjects, and promote teaching quality among colleagues;

(c) provide research support and conduct knowledge transfer activities;

(d) assist in the implementation of strategic actions;

(e) conduct essential activities for the operation of the assigned technical Stream;

(f) interact closely with stakeholders in the University; and

(g) perform any other duties as assigned by the Director of Centre or his/her delegates.

Qualifications

Applicants should have:

(a) a recognised degree in AI, Electronics, Computing, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or a related field;

(b) hands-on skills in software development and programming languages such as Python, C/C++ or Java;

(c) the ability to collaborate with individuals from diverse backgrounds to support technical development projects; and

(d) a good command of written and spoken English.

Preference will be given to those with three or more years of experience in innovation and technology projects. Applicants who have knowledge of cloud or edge computing with Azure AI, Generative AI on AWS, or Nvidia Jetson will be an advantage.

Conditions of Service

A highly competitive remuneration package will be offered. Initial appointment will be on a fixed-term gratuity-bearing contract. Re-engagement thereafter is subject to mutual agreement.
