The Plot Thickens: Job Description

• Integrated marketing communications (IMC): Provide strategic thinking and approach to guide communication tactics across different marketing channels, including paid, owned and earned media.


• Media relations: Propose strategy for media pitching, interesting story angles and maintain a network of media contacts; Organize media briefings, support media strategy counsel to spokespeople and manage media events.


• Content creation: Ensure consistent tone and accuracy of content, review key content pieces (such as press releases Q&A documents, bylines), and develop key messages and communication plans for clients (in English and Chinese).


• Market intelligence and reporting: Oversee and review different types of reports, track results against goals, and provide insightful summaries and analysis for clients.


• Client relations: Serve as a point person and trusted partner with clients, provide counsel and manage expectations for program execution and maintain a high-quality standard across the work you deliver.


• Account management: Oversee day-to-day account activities with speed and accuracy, track account budget and resourcing, and work with senior leaders to manage all aspects of the account.


• New business: Contribute to RFPs and pitch decks and participate in new business presentations.


• Mentorship/training: Serve as a direct manager to junior staff and provide constructive feedback to help staff grow and advance their development (soft- and hard-skills).

The Hero’s Background: Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, PR/Advertising, Marketing/Integrated Communications, Journalism, Linguistics or other relevant degrees


• Have a minimum of 1-2 years of relevant experience (agency experience is preferred)


• Some experience in media relations, in client servicing and project management


• Interested in working with financial firms, companies in fintech, digital assets and web3


• Superior writing and verbal communication skills in both English and Chinese are musts


• Passion for digital and social media communications


• An entrepreneurial and curious mindset
